The City of Winnipeg will begin enforcing a new Fire Prevention Bylaw starting July 26, 2017.  New restrictions are being placed on the use of storage lockers in parking garages. Storage units that were part of a building original design and part of the construction permitting process will be considered approved and acceptable.  All other units will only be permitted provided a stamped engineers report confirming that the storage units meet all the requirement under the new bylaw is presented to the Fire Prevention office.
