A newly formed National Urban, Rural, Northern Indigenous Housing Coalition (NURNIHC) will be working towards realizing a For Indigenous By Indigenous housing strategy.

CHRA’s Indigenous Caucus brought stakeholders together in-person in Vancouver and on-line for a National Indigenous URN Housing Stakeholder Gathering in late November, which resulted in an official declaration solidifying an Indigenous-led and governed path forward. Indigenous-governed organizations can join the coalition at any time. The declaration identifies areas of mutual agreement, principles, and actions.
