Regional Energy Coach: Prairies (2 year term, full-time)

Position Summary

This position will provide coaching and technical services for affordable housing providers related to the planning of energy efficient capital projects. The objective of this role is to build the capability and capacity of housing providers to initiate sustainable energy efficient projects. The REC will have a strong understanding of the Prairies context and will lead efforts in engaging and coaching affordable housing providers in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, particularly smaller providers with less capacity to initiate projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities include:

  • Coaching and planning support for project management to non-profit housing providers to identify and plan energy efficiency projects, and incorporate energy efficiency features into capital projects, maintenance, and new construction projects
  • Capacity building through education sessions and distribution of tools, resources, and educational material
  • Reporting to funders and participation in program evaluation

Program Coordinator: Non-Profit Housing Energy Efficiency (2 year term, 32 hours/week)

Position Summary

The Program Coordinator will be working with non-profit housing organizations in Manitoba and Efficiency Manitoba (EM) to promote energy efficiency programs and awareness, and create & implement a non-profit housing energy efficiency plan with guidance & support from EM.

The Program Coordinator will also help identify energy-saving opportunities in non-profit housing in Manitoba and encourage participation in Efficiency Manitoba’s energy efficiency programs, ultimately leading to reduced energy consumption and lower energy bills.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Create and Implement an Energy Efficiency Strategy for Non-Profit Housing in Manitoba through assessing needs and opportunities of the non-profit housing sector
  • Outreach, Resource Connection, and Support for Efficiency Initiatives
