Sarah Cooper, MNPHA member, is researching the implications of the expiring social housing operating agreements in Manitoba. She is conducting interviews with staff and board members of nonprofit and cooperative housing providers to understand how housing organizations are responding to the end of their operating agreements.

If you are interested in knowing more or participating in her research, please contact her at [email protected] or 312-647-5198.

Sarah is a PhD Candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research focuses on the expiring social housing operating agreements and the implications for housing policy in Canada. Originally from Toronto, Sarah has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from York University and a Master of City Planning from the University of Manitoba.

MNPHA relies on evidence and research to inform our work of advocating for and supporting our non-profit housing provider members. Supporting research like Sarah’s gives us information that we use for developing best practice and for
advocating with government on your behalf. Your willingness to support Sarah’s research is appreciated by MNPHA and her findings will be shared with our members at the 2017 MNPHA Building Partnerships Conference in November.
